Len Orpin Len has lived in Thurrock for seventy five years. His last employment was with London Borough of Greenwich where he retired in 2005 having spent twenty three years as a Building Surveyor. In 2002 Len became Chair of the Stifford Community Forum and have held the position now for fifteen years. He is also Chair of the Thurrock Associations of Forums (TAF) and has held this position for two years. Len is also a member of the Fairness Commission Board, established in 2015 by Thurrock Council. From 2013 he chaired the Acorn Community Hub Steering Committee prior to its opening in Stifford Clays in May 2015. He is now volunteer coordinator at the Stifford Acorn Community Hub which he does on a voluntary basis. Len is a committee member on the Stifford Clays Medical Centre Patients Participation Group (PPG) and the Balfour Medical Centre PPG. In 2005 Len joined the management committee of TRAG (Thurrock Resident Action Group) which later changed its name to ngage Thurrock in 2007 when he became a Director for the organisation. In 2011 Len became chairperson and have held this position until ngage merged with Thurrock CVS in April 2017. He is now a Thurrock CVS Trustee.
