The Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex wants your views on what the priorities for fire and rescue services in the county should be.

Roger Hirst and Essex County Fire and Rescue Service are working together to produce Essex’s first Fire and Rescue Plan – a strategic document that will set out the vision and priorities for the delivery of fire and rescue services in Essex. The plan will run from 2019 to 2024 and will focus on what the people of Essex want its fire and rescue service to deliver for their communities.

Workshop 3 – 09 July 2018

Help people, particularly those who are vulnerable, to be safer in their homes, their communities and as they work and travel in the county.

Some of the most vulnerable people in our communities are at the most risks. We want the Service to be able to identify these people and work with them to help them to be safer. This priority will look at what the Service needs to do to reduce the vulnerability of these people and work to create safer communities.

Working with our partners we will provide more efficient and effective interventions.

The Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner want the public to receive the best possible service and we believe that to achieve this the Service needs to work in close partnership with other organisations. How could this work and who should the Service be working with? Are there ways for the Service to do something better by working with others?  What are the expectations of the public and what would the Service need to do to meet these?
